One year ago, Show-Me Scoopers was just an idea.
At the time, I was recovering from complications related to chronic Lyme disease. My health was unpredictable, and I wanted to build something meaningful for my family and our community. I wanted a business that could create local jobs, help busy families, and continue serving others even on days when life felt challenging.
What has happened over the last year has completely exceeded my expectations.
Since launching Show-Me Scoopers, we have had the privilege of serving more than 200 families throughout the Springfield, Missouri area.
Whether it’s weekly pet waste removal or biweekly dog poop cleanup, our goal has always been simple: help families enjoy a cleaner yard and spend more time doing the things they love.
We’ve also been honored to receive nearly 100 five-star Google reviews from customers who trusted us with their homes, yards, and pets. Every review reminds us why we started this business in the first place.
One of the biggest surprises of the last year has been the people we’ve met along the way.
We’ve had the opportunity to connect with dog lovers, homeowners, local business owners, and so many wonderful families throughout Springfield and the surrounding communities.
For many of our customers, hiring a pooper scooper service isn’t really about dog waste. It’s about getting time back. It’s about having a cleaner yard for kids to play in. It’s about enjoying a backyard barbecue without worrying about stepping in a mess.
Helping families reclaim their outdoor spaces has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
Another blessing has been the opportunity to work alongside my family.
Running a local business takes teamwork, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my husband, children, friends, customers, and community.
Building Show-Me Scoopers has allowed us to spend time together, learn new skills, and create something that serves others while supporting our family.
The Best Part? The Dogs.
Of course, no first-year recap would be complete without mentioning all the dogs.
We’ve met hundreds of sweet pups over the last year, each with their own personality. Some supervise every scoop. Some follow us around the yard. Some simply watch from the window.
Getting to meet so many amazing dogs has truly been one of the best parts of owning a pet waste removal company.
